Bio
A Massachusetts native, Stephen Bangs graduated from Franklin Pierce University with a degree in Sports Recreation Management and a minor in Management. Stephen played college baseball at Franklin Pierce and, during the 2024 summer season, pitched for the Keene Swamp Bats of the NECBL. He appeared in 15 games, recording a 5–2 record with a 4.70 ERA over 32 innings. Stephen is excited to return for his second year with the Swamp Bats as the pitching coach and looks forward to the opportunity to help bring another championship back to Keene.
Stephen has trained and pitched at Cressey Sports Performance in Hudson, Massachusetts, for the past five seasons. During his time at Cressey, he participated in pitching-specific strength and conditioning programs, threw bullpen sessions utilizing the latest baseball technology for feedback, and observed and assisted in numerous bullpen sessions with professional MLB and collegiate pitchers. He intends to apply the concepts and strategies he learned at Cressey to his upcoming season as the pitching coach for the Keene Swamp Bats.
Stephen, who graduated from Franklin Pierce in May 2025, is currently enrolled in the university’s master’s program, where he is pursuing a Master’s degree in Sports and Recreation Management.
