Bats Strike Early, Thrash Navigators 14-5
Keene Wins Fourth Straight Behind Four Home Runs

The bats were hot as the Keene SwampBats and the North Shore Navigators faced off for the fifth time this season on Wednesday evening. Both teams came into tonight's game after earning back to back wins.
The Bats' struck quickly as Jackson Marshall (Connecticut) launched a ball over the right center fence, driving in Jackson Smith (Cincinnati) to make the score 2-0 in the first inning. The Navigators would soon cut the lead in half as Maddix Simpson hit a homerun in the same area.
In the following half inning, Collin Anderson (Duke) hit a homerun of his own to left field and drove in Nico Senese (Georgia Southern) to make it a 4-1 game. Chris Polemeni (Connecticut) would add on in with a single, driving Smith home. Charlie Meglio (Rutgers) would add insurance with a double that brought Polemeni and Marshall home.
The Navigators' added runs in the fifth inning with a pair of sacrifice groundouts, making the score 7-3 before a Gavin Speirs (Charleston Southern) bases loaded walk brought it to an 8-3 score.
The Bats' exploded for a combined six runs in the seventh and eighth innings. The first two coming off a Polemeni single that brought Speirs and Senese home. A pair of homeruns by Dylan Fitzsimmons (St John's) and Senese along with singles by Speirs and Marshall gave the SwampBats a 14-3 lead going into the last frame.
The Navigators' briefly fought back, as Hudson Ellis would drive in Aidan Sengenberger on a single before Ellis scored on a wild pitch.
Rocco Calise (Eckerd) earned the win after throwing 2.1 innings, striking out three batters, and giving up no runs. Tanner Beliveau (Mississippi State) pitched the final inning, striking out two batters.
The Bats' will take this 14-5 win as momentum as they travel down to Connecticut to take on the Danbury Westerners, first pitch is scheduled for 6:30 tomorrow evening.
