Keene SwampBats players and staff from the historic 2025 season recently received their championship rings to commemorate one of the most unforgettable seasons in franchise history.
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – The New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) is excited to announce the two all-league teams, as well as the honorable mention squad, for the 2025 regular season. The players were chosen by a vote of each of the 13 league managers.

Keene Two Wins From Sixth Title
KEENE, NH - After dispatching the Upper Valley Nighthawks in two games in the first round of the postseason, the Keene SwampBats hosted the Sanford Mainers for game one of the North Division Championship Series on Monday. Following Saturday’s offensive onslaught, the Bats relied on their pitching to hold the Mainers quiet, taking game one by a score of 6-2.
White River Junction, VT - After an offensive explosion in game 2 of the Northern Division semi-final, the Keene SwampBats (2-0) will look to continue their chase of the Fay Vincent Sr. in sweeping the Upper Valley Nighthawks (0-2). After a late thriller in game 1, the bats took that momentum and applied it early in game 2 in a 10-5 victory.
KEENE, NH - The chase for the Fay Vincent Sr. cup began in Keene on Friday, as the SwampBats hosted the Upper Valley Nighthawks for game one of the North division semifinal series. Despite Keene winning the regular season series between the squads five games to one, the Nighthawks battled early and hung with the Bats all night long. A pitcher’s duel finally came to a head in the bottom of the ninth, when LF Michael O’Brien landed the first pitch he saw on the red barn in right field to win it for Keene, 2-1.

KEENE, NH - The 2025 NECBL regular season came to an end for the Keene SwampBats on Wednesday at Alumni Field, as they looked to complete the season sweep against the Vermont Mountaineers. As Keene had clinched the top seed in the North division the week prior, the team announced all-star Ripken Reese (Kent State) would play all nine positions in the game, a feat that had not been accomplished in MLB since 2017. Keene took care of business, taking the win by a score of 8-2, with Reese recording three outs in the ninth to break the franchise all-time record for single-season wins.
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - The Keene SwampBats (31-12) solidified their standing as the best record in the NECBL this summer and tied the franchise record in single-season wins after a dominant performance on the road against the SteepleCats (19-22). It was the first time the Bats had beaten the SteepleCats at Joe Wolf Field this summer in the 11-4 victory.
MARTHA’S VINEYARD - After a dominant eight wins in a row, the Keene SwampBats hopped on the ferry towards Martha’s Vineyard to face the Sharks for the first time since week one of the NECBL season. After taking down the Sharks in a close game in June, Vineyard got the best of Keene this time, taking the win in a blowout game, with an 11-2 final score.
KEENE, NH - On host family appreciation night at Alumni Field, the Keene SwampBats reached 30 wins for the third time in franchise history, and the first time since 2005, with a win over their division rival, the North Adams SteepleCats. The two teams played call and response all game, with Keene’s responses in the home half of innings being enough to down North Adams by a score of 8-5.
Keene, N.H. - The SwampBats (29-11) continued their hot streak as they thrived in every aspect of the game Thursday night. Whether it was pitching, hitting, fielding, or baserunning, the SwampBats had all facets of their game working in an 11-2 team win over the Upper Valley Nighthawks (16-21).
